Wielding a voice that's been compared to Chrissie Hynde's and a guitar that rocks like Joan Jett's, Hyatt riffs tackling sexual politics with the kind of brutal honesty and NC-17 lyrics that would make hip-hop bad girl Lil' Kim blush” - Gdula

Our Story started in London in the 90's

Originally rockin' the 90's clubs in London, Pillbox is the Grunge/Rock/Punk trio led by singer/songwriter Susan Hyatt. They are now based in Nashville, TN.

Pillbox debut single "Invasion (What Really Turns You on?) was released in 1995 and became a top 20 indie hit as well as Kerrang's Single of the Week. The band toured the UK extensively with bands like Catatonia and Lush.  Pillbox has released 2 albums and 2 EPS in the 90's on Not Your Common Records Ltd./Pinnacle Records. They have been licensing their music to TV/Film since the 90's to iconic TV shows like Dawson's Creek and various shows on NBC. You can hear Pillbox on the latest episode of "Roswell" on the CW network.

Susan Hyatt started her career as the guitar player for the underground LA all-female garage band The Pandoras alongside Kim Shattuck from the Muffs.

Suitably down and dirty riffs that bring to mind both AC/DC and The Pretenders” - Steve Goula
